Export your MetaTrader 4 trade history

Terminal › Account History › Save as Detailed Report

New in Hammer. We built this import from MetaTrader 4's documented export format and haven't seen a real file yet. Check a few trades against MetaTrader 4 after importing — and if something's off, the Feedback button reaches us directly.

Steps

  1. In MetaTrader 4 on your computer, open the Terminal (Ctrl+T) and the Account History tab.
  2. Right-click in the list and choose All History (or Custom Period for a range).
  3. Right-click again and choose Save as Detailed Report.
  4. Save the .htm file and import it as it is — no need to convert it.

What's in the file

An HTML statement whose Closed Transactions table has one row per trade: ticket, open and close time, buy or sell, size in lots, symbol, prices, commission, taxes, swap and profit.

What Hammer does with it

  • Each closed buy or sell becomes a trade; deposits, withdrawals and cancelled orders are skipped.
  • The P&L is profit plus commission, swap and taxes — your account's net.
  • Broker suffixes are dropped (EURUSD.m becomes EURUSD).

Good to know

  • MetaTrader times are your broker's server time. Hammer reads them in your own timezone, so check a trade's date after importing.

Import it

  • On the web: Settings › Your data › Import…, then drop the file in.
  • On iPhone, iPad or Mac: Settings › Import › Import…, then choose the file.
  • Just curious? Try it with your trades — Hammer reads the file right in your browser and shows what's costing you, before you sign up.
